Job description:

Recover a banned Google My Business (Google Maps) account.
Manage Yong Silver’s Google My Business account.
Write SEO-standard content for the shop’s website.

3.1. Recover a banned Google My Business (Google Maps) account

At 7:34 p.m., the shop owner texted me to inform me that Yong Silver’s Google My Business account had been locked, and Yong Silver Shop was no longer displayed on Google or on Google Maps.

I received the information and immediately began working to restore the account, specifically:

3.1.1. Determine the reason Google deleted the account

Through talking with the shop owner, we learned that the shop owner has just changed business locations, so he is running a product discount program to get reviews about the shop on Google Maps. This can mislead Google into thinking:

You are using tricks or AI to manipulate rankings and visibility on Google Maps (because the number of reviews increases dramatically in a short period of time).
There are impostors (the shop has just changed to a new address), and the impostors are trying to manipulate search results, targeting the fake address (the new address of the shop).

The shop owner texted me to inform the problem

3.1.2. Collect documents and evidence

Collect all documents and evidence to prove to Google that the Shop address is real and that the ongoing activities are normal marketing activities of the Shop, bring value to users, and are not intended to manipulate search results.

Documents and evidence included:

Business registration license, showing that the owner of the shop and the owner of the Google My Business (Google Maps) account are the same person.
Temporary residence registration. Because the shop has just changed its business location and has not updated its business license, the new address does not match the address on the business license. The temporary residence registration certificate will prove that the person temporarily residing at the current location is the shop owner.
Photos of the shop and marketing activities are used to prove that this is a real location, and review activities take place completely naturally, not for the purpose of manipulating search results.

3.2. Manage Yong Silver’s Google My Business account

Update the shop’s new address:

The shop’s new address is not automatically updated according to the address declared to Google. The shop owner didn’t know and just left it alone.
This has a very negative impact on the customer experience because customers often get lost when finding their way to the shop.
Because Google didn’t automatically update, I had to update it manually and use a few “tricks” to accurately pin the shop’s location to match the address.
